Due to having problems with my previous upgrade to build 98, I added some more memory to the box (2gb total) to see if it improved things, which it did. I suspect that due to the fact that the ZFS ARC is quite memory hungry anyway that we over consumed and somehow caused the box to hang. You can tune ZFS but it should only be done in certain circumstances as we all know that tuning is evil anyway! 🙂 See the ZFS Evil Tuning Guide for details.

Only one thing has caught my eye since upgrading………..zfs list no longer shows me all my previous snapshots. However I appear to be able to get to them via .zfs/snapshot. I wonder if a change has been made around this?
Anyhow looks like I can see my snapshots still with “zfs list -t snapshot”.
